Selector Lever Cable, Checking And Adjusting

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Adjust the Selector Lever Cable, if:

Checking 

-- Remove the battery and the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Move the selector lever into "P" position.

-- Remove the ball socket -1- on the selector lever cable from the selector shaft lever using the : 80-200  .

-- Move the selector lever from >>P<< to >>S<< and back to >>P<< several times.

Adjusting 

-- Move the selector lever into "P".

-- Selector shaft on the transmission is also in "P". Push the lever all the way to the rear opposite the direction of travel to check it.

-- Loosen the adjusting bolt -arrow- for the selector lever cable.

-- Lightly tap the handle on the selector lever back and forth but do not move it out of "P" under any circumstances.

-- Tighten the bolt -arrow-.

This ends the adjustment.

-- Install the battery tray and the battery. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Tightening Specifications
