MULTIFUNCTION Transmission Range Switch, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-, Removing 

-- Move the selector lever into "N".

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Pry the selector lever cable -1- off the selector shaft lever -2- using for example an open end wrench.

-- Disconnect the connector -6- from the Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125- and free up the wire at the bracket.

-- Remove the bolts -5- from the cable bracket -4-. Do not remove the lock washer -3-.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the spring washer -2- and the selector lever -3- from the selector shaft -4-.

-- Bend back the hooks on the lock washer -2- using a screwdriver.

-- Replace the lock washer if a hook breaks off.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -5-.

-- Remove the multifunction transmission range switch -4- with the washers -2 and 3- from the selector shaft -6-.
