Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Depending on the version, remove the lock cylinder cap (refer to CAP WITH LOCK CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) and the lock cylinder (refer to LOCK CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ).

-- Or remove the cap without the lock cylinder. Refer to DOOR HANDLE CAP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, WITHOUT LOCK CYLINDER .

-- Remove the door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the door inner cover. Refer to DOOR INNER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -4-.

-- Remove the mounting bracket -1- from the door.

Release Cable, Detaching

-- Pivot the retainer -3- slightly in direction of -arrow a-.

-- Remove the release cable pin -2- from the mount.
