Left Seal, Replacing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Coat the outer edge and the sealing lips -arrow- on the new seal with transmission fluid.

• Installation position: the closed side of the seal faces the transmission.

-- Use the :T10124/2  -2- to drive in the seal -1- until it stops. Do not tilt the seal.

-- Lightly grease the splines -arrow- on the stub shaft with Moly Lubricating Grease.

-- Install the left drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the ATF level. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING .
