Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module, Removing And Installing: Installing

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

There is a risk of injury.

- Discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker.

NOTE:

Make sure the connectors are pushed in all the way and that they engage audibly.

If the Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706- was replaced, it is necessary to perform a basic setting/coding in Guided Fault Finding  using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

CAUTION:

Risk of airbag deployment.

There is a risk of injury.

- Switching on the ignition (key/button) after assembly may only be done when the driver seat is positioned all the way back.

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault after installing, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
