Wiper, Moving Into Service Position

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta, 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, 2016 Volkswagen Jetta, and 2015 Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The windshield wiper arms must be in the "service/winter position" in order to remove the wiper blades. The "service/winter position" is activated by operating the windshield wiper lever in the "one-touch wiping" position within 10 seconds after switching off the ignition. Refer to the appropriate service/repair/system information.
