MULTIFUNCTION Transmission Range Switch, Adjusting: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Move the selector lever into "N".

-- Do not bend the selector lever cable.

Adjustment Prerequisites

Adjusting

-- Place the Adjustment Gauge on the selector shaft -2- and turn the Multifunction Switch -1- until the Adjustment Gauge locks into the tab on the Multifunction Switch connector.

NOTE:

If the tab on the connector does not lock into the groove in the Adjustment Gauge, then the transmission is no longer in "N". In this case, shift the transmission into "N" using the Adjustment Gauge.

-- Secure the Adjustment Gauge to the selector shaft -2- with the screw -3-.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- to the tightening specification.

-- Remove the Adjustment Gauge.

-- Further installation is performed in the reverse sequence. Refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-, Installing .
