Engine And Transmission, Separating, Vehicles With Automatic Transmission

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

• Socket - SW15:V/175 
• Counterhold - Multiple Use:T10172A 

AWD Vehicles 

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

All Vehicles 

-- Remove the six converter nuts -arrow- using the :V/175  .

-- Turn the engine in the direction of engine rotation 60° additional turn using the :T10172A  .

-- Remove the transmission/oil pan bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the front engine to transmission bolts -1-. The upper bolt is secured with a nut -arrow-.

-- Remove the upper transmission/engine bolts -arrows- using a 12-point socket.

-- Remove the transmission -3- from the engine, while doing so push the torque converter -1- with for example a screwdriver -2- against the transmission direction of -arrow-.

-- After removing the transmission secure the torque converter from falling.
