O-rings, Seals, Gaskets and Oil
- Always replace the O-rings, gaskets and seals.
- After removing gaskets and seals, examine the contact surface on housing or shaft for burrs resulting from removal or for other signs of damage.
- Coat the O-rings with ATF before inserting to prevent the rings from being crushed during assembly.
- Only use ATF. Other lubricants cause malfunctions in the hydraulic transmission control.
- Lightly coat the seals with ATF along the outer circumference and on the sealing lip -arrow-.
- The open side of the seals faces the oil.
