Engine And Transmission, Separating

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Engine/Gearbox Support Shackle (2 pc.): 10-222A/12 
• Engine Support Bridge - Additional Hooks (2 pc.): 10-222A/2 
• Shop Crane: VAS6100 

Procedure 

• Engine/transmission assembly removed and secured on the : T10497  .

-- Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Attach the : 10-222A/12  to the transmission.

-- Attach the : VAS6100  with : 10-222A/2  to the : 10-222A/12  .

-- Remove the bolts -1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9- connecting the transmission to the engine.

-- Remove the transmission from the engine.
