Maximum Steering Angle, Checking

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2023 Volkswagen ID.4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The wheel alignment tester determines the maximum steering angle.

-- If the value for the maximum steering angle is outside of the tolerance, or the steering wheel is tilted, then pay attention to the following:

-- Check the steering and suspension components for damage or deformations.

-- Check the tie rod symmetry.

-- Replace damaged components.

-- Measure the dimension -a- on both tie rod ends. Adjust the tie rod ends to the same dimension.
