Front Control Arm Bearing, Replacing: Installing

-- Pay attention to the installation position of the front control arm bearing -2-.
Conditions
- The stamped arrow -4- on the control arm bearing -2- must point between the markings -3- on the front control arm -1-.
- The guide -5- must point toward the outside of the vehicle -arrow B-.
- Direction of travel -arrow A-.
-- Position the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D- on the front control arm -1-.
Conditions
- The guide -4- must be engaged into the recess at the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D-.
- The guide at the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D- must be located above the marking -4- on the control arm -2-.
- The greater diameter at the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D- must point downward.
-- Position the Assembly Tool - Pipe:T10642/2 -B- on the Press Plate:VW401A -G-.
-- Position the control arm -2- with the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D- on the Assembly Tool - Pipe:T10642/2 -B-.
Conditions
- The guide -arrow- at the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D- must be located above the marking on the control arm -2-.
- The angled edges of the control arm -2- point downward.
-- Insert the Assembly Tool - Handle:T10642/1 -A- with the Assembly Tool - Centering:T10642/3 -C- in the Assembly Tool - Thrust Piece:T10642/4 -D-.
-- Press in the front control arm -1- using the Piece - Multiple Use:VW412 -H-.
-- Install the control arm. Refer to Control Arm, Removing and Installing .
