Motor, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder, Front Motor

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

The Three-Phase Current Drive 2 -VX97- with the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics 2 -JX4- will be called motor in the information that follows.

-- Insert the bracket from the Lifting Device (ID.4): VAS 501 021  -A- in the holes -B arrows-.

-- Install the bolt -1- all the way in the hole -arrow C- hand-tight.

-- Secure the shackle -2- in the center hole.

-- Engage the Workshop Crane: VAS 6100  in the shackle -2- and lift the motor.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the motor support -1-.

-- Tighten the Motor Bracket for ID.4: VAS 6095A/1-22  -A- on the motor -1- and tighten the bolts -arrows-.

-- Insert the Holding Plate: VW309A  -B- in the Engine and Transmission Holder: VAS 6095A  -C-.

-- Position the Motor Bracket for ID.4: VAS 6095A/1-22  -A- on Holding Plate: VW309A  -B- and tighten the bolts -arrows-.

Tightening Specifications 

Bolts Tightening Specification
Motor Bracket (MEB Front Motor): VAS 6095A/1-22  on the motor 20 Nm
Motor Bracket (MEB Front Motor): VAS 6095A/1-22  on Holding Plate: VW309A  80 Nm
