Risk of strong corrosive battery acid.
- Keep a suitable remedy ready, for example soapy water.
Leaking battery acid.
Risk of acidic chemical burns on the human body and corrosion on the vehicle.
- Wear protective gloves, clothing and eyewear.
- The battery must not be tilted.
- Neutralize sulfuric acid as fast as possible.
Oxyhydrogen gas escaping due to loading and when resting.
Danger of explosion
- Prevent generating sparks.
- Take care to avoid short circuits.
- No open fire.
- Do not smoke.
- No naked flames.
- Discharge the static electricity, quickly touch the door striker.
- Only perform battery procedures in well-ventilated locations.
- Mind the correct side of the bleed hole.
Danger of explosion when checking, charging or jump starting the battery.
- Do not check or charge a battery when the "ALI (Acid Level Indicator)" has no color or is bright yellow. Do not give a jump start.
