Refrigerant Oil Capacity

NOTE:

There are different refrigerant oils depending on the manufacturer. Refer to the Parts Information for the part number.

Refrigerant oil strongly attracts moisture. Because of this, refrigerant oil that was stored for long periods of time in an open container is unusable.

Refrigerant oil, because of its chemical properties, must not be disposed of with engine oils or transmission oils.

Close opened containers immediately after use to prevent moisture contamination.

Total Capacity
Refer to 03 MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS (2018) , 03 MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS (2019) , 03 MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS (2020) or 03 MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS (2021) .

*) There is a specific index for the respective country of manufacture based on the A/C compressor type designation. The country of manufacture is not relevant for the oil capacity and is thus marked with a *) . The type designation is on the A/C compressor sticker.

1) This quantity of refrigerant oil is included in a replacement A/C compressor and equates to the total capacity.

NOTE:

If there is uncertainty about the amount of refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit, the refrigerant circuit must be flushed with refrigerant R134a or refrigerant R1234yf. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, FLUSHING WITH R134A REFRIGERANT or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CLEANING (R1234yf) .
