Component Location Overview - Components Outside Of Vehicle Interior

The following information refers to LHD vehicles. Information for RHD vehicles is the same.

1. Vehicle Interior Forced Air Extraction
   • Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to VEHICLE INTERIOR FORCED AIR EXTRACTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
2. Vehicle Interior Forced Air Extraction
   • Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. VEHICLE INTERIOR FORCED AIR EXTRACTION, CHECKING .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to VEHICLE INTERIOR FORCED AIR EXTRACTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Desiccant Bag/Dryer Cartridge
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to DESICCANT BAG/DRYER CARTRIDGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. Condenser
   • With integrated receiver/dryer
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to CONDENSER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
     NOTE:

     Under certain conditions, the receiver/dryer and the desiccant bag does not need to be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened. Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning; Refrigerant R134a Servicing in the appropriate service information .

5. Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17-
   • Check: via the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module -J519- using theVehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function. Refer to Wiring Diagram.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
6. A/C Compressor
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR POWER UNIT .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Removing and installing from the bracket. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ON BRACKET .
7. Evacuating and Charging Valve, High-Pressure Side
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to EVACUATING AND CHARGING VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE .
8. Refrigerant Circuit Pressure Sensor -G805-
   • 8 Nm
   • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding"  function. Refer to Wiring Diagram.
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit Pressure Sensor -G805-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. Evacuating and Charging Valve, Low Pressure Side
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to EVACUATING AND CHARGING VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE .
10. Refrigerant Line
    • To the rear heater and A/C unit
11. Fresh Air Intake
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRESH AIR INTAKE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. Expansion Valve
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to EXPANSION VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Tightening specifications. Refer to SYSTEM OVERVIEW - REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
13. Fresh Air Intake Cover
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRESH AIR INTAKE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
