Transmission Mount, Removing And Installing: Installing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas, 2019 Volkswagen Atlas, and 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

Before installing the bolts the transmission mount and transmission must be completely parallel to each other. Push the rear of the transmission upward using a floor jack if necessary.

-- Secure the transmission support to the longitudinal member.

-- Lift the transmission using the engine support bridge spindle until the transmission touches the support arm of the transmission mount.

-- Position the bolts by hand. While doing so, make sure that the bolts are not installed crooked.

-- Check the adjustment of the assembly mount. Refer to ASSEMBLY MOUNTS, CHECKING ADJUSTMENT .

-- When the bolts are tightened to the tightening specification, remove the :10-222A  from the engine.
