Engine, Installing

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Make sure there is enough clearance for the subframe and radiator when installing the engine/transmission assembly.

-- Align the engine and transmission mount. Refer to ASSEMBLY MOUNTS, ADJUSTING .

-- Fasten the driveshaft. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Attach the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converters to the exhaust manifold. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the drive axles. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the A/C compressor. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR .

-- Install the subframe with the steering gear. Refer to SUBFRAME WITH STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Check all DTC memories and erase any faults, if necessary, which may have occurred during assembly.

-- Perform a road test and generate readiness code. To do so, turn on the ignition and select the following menu item. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester:
