Risk of damaging the front lid by moving the windshield wipers back to the basic setting.

• Do not drive a vehicle with windshield wiper arms folded up.
• The windshield wipers automatically retract to their rest position when the windshield wiper switch is activated or when driving faster than 6 km/h (3.7 mph).

Risk of damaging the wiper blades due to freezing.

• If frost is present, check to see if the wiper blades are frozen.

If the windshield wiper motor is to be run during the procedure, the front lid must be completely closed, otherwise the power supply to the wiper motor will be interrupted.
