Antenna Module On Lower Side Windows, Removing And Installing

Removal and installation are described for the antenna modules on the right side. The description of the removal and installation of the antenna module on the left side is to be derived accordingly.

Perform the Following Steps:

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Remove the center luggage compartment floor covering toward the rear.

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the tie downs/supports. Refer to SUPPORTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, remove the right luggage compartment floor.

-- Remove the D-pillar trim panel. Refer to D-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the retaining clip -arrow-.

-- Unclip the side panel trim on the side window and carefully press in direction of -arrow- slightly to the side.

-- Disconnect the harness connectors from the switches in the side panel trim. If necessary, unclip the interior lamp from the side panel trim.

-- Disconnect the harness connectors -arrows- from the antenna module.

NOTE:

Be especially careful when doing this because the wire and harness connector are extremely sensitive to mechanical stress.

If the wire connection between the antenna module and side window is damaged, the side window must be replaced. It is not possible to repair the wiring connection.

-- Remove the screw -arrow- from the antenna module.

-- Slide the antenna module in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the antenna module in the direction of -arrow-.

If several antenna modules are removed, mark the assignment of the individual antenna modules to their installation location.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal.
