Oil Pressure Test

Disconnect and remove the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch from the engine. Refer to the appropriate Engine article for the procedure.

The oil pressure should be within specifications; refer to the specifications in the appropriate engine article.
- Oil leakage
- Insufficient oil
- Plugged/damaged oil filter
- Worn or damaged oil pump
- Oil pump screen and pickup tube
- Loose timing chain tensioner bolts
- Excessive main bearing clearance
- Excessive connecting rod bearing clearance
