Emergency Release From P

• The selector lever will not shift out of "P" if the battery is disconnected or drained. The vehicle cannot be moved or towed.
• The Shift Lock Solenoid -N110- will release the lock when the emergency release is activated.

Do Not Remove the Handle.

-- Using both hands, reach into the shift lever boot on the right and left sides in direction of -arrows- and unclip the shift cover -1- by pulling it upward.

-- Press the brake pedal or set the parking brake.

-- Hold the shift cover to the side and push the yellow plastic part from above and hold it in this position.

The selector lever cannot be moved out of >>P<<.

Clipping in the Shift Cover 

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Insert the rear of the shift cover -1- first. Then engage in the center console at the front without pressing on the chrome frame.
