11.4 Left Peripheral Camera - R244-, Removing And Installing

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

• Torque Screwdriver - VAG1624-

Removing 

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.
• Move the ignition key outside of the vehicle to prevent switching on the ignition unintentionally.
• Remove the cover from exterior rearview mirror. Refer to Body Exterior (Exterior Rearview Mirror; Overview - Exterior Rearview Mirror).
• If not already successful, release and disconnect the connector -3-.
• Remove the bolts -4-.
• Remove the bracket -1- with the Left Peripheral Camera - R244- -2- from the cover.
• Remove the Left Peripheral Camera - R244- -2- out of the bracket -1-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• Calibrate the peripheral camera. Refer to 11.7 Peripheral Camera, Calibrating
