Selector Shaft Seal, Replacing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil Seal: T10174
- Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/1
-- Remove the Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-. Refer to MULTIFUNCTION TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Carefully remove the selector shaft seal with the : T20143/1 . Do not to damage the selector shaft while doing so.
-- Coat the outer edge and sealing lips of the seal with ATF.
- Installed position: open side of the seal faces the transmission housing.
-- Use the : T10174 to install the new seal until it stops. Do not tilt the seal while doing so.
