Reducing Agent Tank, Filling

Procedure

NOTE:

Pay attention that the vehicle on a perfectly flat surface and the ignition is switched off.

Pay attention to the AdBlue Filling System VAS6960 :VAS6960 . Refer to Owner's Manual.

Only use distilled water to clean AdBlue^® /DEF components. Do not use tap water.

-- Switch off the ignition.

The reducing agent tank filler neck (AdBlue^® /DEF) is under the fuel filler door.

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Open the reducing agent tank (AdBlue^® /DEF) fuel filler cap -arrow- in the fuel filler door.

-- Clean the reducing agent tank filler neck with a lint-free cotton cloth soaked in water.

-- Guide the nozzle from the AdBlue Filling System VAS6960:VAS6960 in the reducing agent tank filler neck and start the refilling procedure.

NOTE:

The nozzle from the AdBlue Filling System VAS6960:VAS6960 switches off automatically when the maximum fill level is reached.

-- Remove the nozzle.

-- Install the reducing agent tank (AdBlue^® /DEF) fuel filler cap -arrow- until it locks.

-- Close the fuel filler door.

NOTE:

After filling the reducing agent tank switch on the ignition and leave it on for at least 30 seconds so that the system detects the night refilling.
