Engine, Supporting In Installed Position

Engine Support - Basic Set T40091
Engine Support - Supplement Kit T40093A with Engine Support Bracket T40093/7, and Engine Support Bracket T40093/8

Procedure

WARNING:

Risk of accident due to shifting the engine weight.

The transmission and tunnel crossmember must be installed for the following support method.

-- Remove the lock carrier cover -2-, refer to Front Bumper .

-- Remove the left and right upper longitudinal member -2-, refer to Lock Carrier .

-- Mount the Engine Support Bridge 10-222A with the Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Component 4 T40091/4, Engine Support - Supplement Kit - Component 5T40091/5, Engine Support Bracket T40093/7 and Engine Support Bracket T40093/8 on the left and right suspension strut towers as illustrated.

-- Attach the Engine Support Bridge - Spindle 10-222A/11 to the engine lifting eyes and pretension the engine slightly.

Assembling

Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly, noting the following:

-- Install the upper longitudinal member, refer to Lock Carrier .

-- Install the lock carrier cover, refer to Front Bumper .
