Battery, Checking Charge Level

NOTE:

Checking the batter is only permitted as part of the pre-delivery inspection.

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER, CONNECTING .
-- Switch on the ignition.
-- Perform the vehicle identification.
-- Enter the work order data or select "no work order".
-- Select the "control module"
-- Select "Data bus diagnostic interface".
-- Select "Control module OBD".
-- Select "Measured values".
-- Select "Battery charge for display".

Charge the battery immediately if the value is ≤80 (80 % state of charge) or if the voltage display is ≤12.5 (resting voltage is 12.5 V).

If the value is ≤10 or the voltage display is ≤11.6, then mark the battery and make sure it starts by charging it immediately.

Replace a low battery before delivering the vehicle to the customer.
