Overview - Intake Manifold

NOTE:
Always replace the combustion chamber Teflon® seal and the O-ring must when a fuel injector is removed. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SEALS, REPLACING .
Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

- Removing and installing. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- To the Brake Booster
- From the EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-
- Rear Intake Manifold Support
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Bolt
- 7 Nm
- Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-
- With EPC Throttle Drive -G186-, EPC Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 1 -G187- and EPC Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 2 -G188-
- When replacing, adapt the engine control module to the throttle valve control module using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Functions".
- Removing and installing. Refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- For the crankcase ventilation
- With Positive Crankcase Ventilation Heating Element -N79-
- From the cylinder head cover

- Front Intake Manifold Support
- Seal
- Always replace
- Coat lightly with engine oil before installing and insert it into the intake manifold upper section.
- Seal
- Always replace
- Make sure it fits securely inside the intake manifold lower section
- Intake Manifold Lower Section
- Removing and installing. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD LOWER SECTION WITH FUEL RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Fuel Rail
- For cylinders 2, 4 and 6
- Replace the fuel injector spring elements before installing -Item 3- 3
- Tighten uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
- Overview - fuel rail with high pressure pump and fuel injectors, Refer to OVERVIEW - FUEL RAIL WITH FUEL INJECTORS .
- Bolt
- 30 Nm + 90° turn
- Always replace
- Tighten fuel rail uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside
- Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Seal
- Replace if damaged
- Coat lightly with engine oil before installing and insert it into the intake manifold upper section.
