Overview - Selector Mechanism
NOTE:
Lubricate the bearing areas and the sliding surfaces.
Grease allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Gearshift Shaft with Gearshift Cover
- Clip
- For the selector relay lever
- Seal
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Gearshift Lever
- Insert so that master spline aligns with shift rod. Refer to Figure
- To install, lubricate
- Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Installation position. Refer to Figure
- Nut
- 25 Nm
- Replace after removing
- Self-locking
- Cable Retainer
- For attaching the shift cable to the transmission shift lever
- Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Do not interchange, cable locking mechanisms for selector cable on selector relay lever and for shift cable on transmission shift lever are different
- Allocation. Refer to Figure.
- Lock Washer
- Replace after removing
- Nut
- 20 Nm
- For the cable bracket
- Grommet
- Cable mounting bracket to transmission
- Quantity: 3
- Spacer
- Quantity: 3
- Lock Washer
- Replace after removing
- Be careful not to damage the cables when removing them
- Selector Cable
- Attach to the cable retainer
- Installation position. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM INSTALLATION POSITION
- Gearshift Cable
- Attach to the cable retainer
- Installation position. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM INSTALLATION POSITION
- Seal
- Replace after removing the gearshift housing
- Between the gearshift housing and the underbody
- Self-adhesive
- Affix to the gearshift housing
- Selector Housing
- Hex Bolt
- 20 Nm
- For the cable bracket
- Quantity: 2
- Cable Mounting Bracket
- Adjust after installing the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Cable Retainer
- For attaching the selector cable to the selector relay lever
- Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Do not interchange, cable locking mechanisms for selector cable on selector relay lever and for shift cable on transmission shift lever are different
- Allocation. Refer to Figure.
- Remove from the selector relay lever. Refer to Figure
- Press onto selector relay lever. Refer to Figure
- Selector Relay Lever
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Installation position. Refer to Figure
- Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Remove and install selector relay lever and cable retainer. Refer to Figure
