Infotainment System Display, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Then remove the ignition key, if equipped.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the component surfaces.

  • When positioning a prying tool, put commercially available adhesive tape over the component in the visible area.

-- Remove the instrument panel center trim. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .

-- Insert the Radio Removal Tool:T10057  into the release slots -1- on the Front Information Display Control Head -J685-.

-- Release the upper locking mechanisms -1- by pushing in direction of travel.

-- Release the lower locking mechanisms -1- by pushing in direction of travel.

-- Remove the Front Information Display Control Head -J685- -2-.

-- Release and disconnect the connectors.
