Removal And Installation

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. 1.

    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
    NOTE: The PMI process must begin with the current DCSM installed. If the current DCSM does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of the repair.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the DCSM following the on-screen instructions.

    Position the passenger front seat forward (enough for DCSM access) and to the full upward position.

    Release the 2 locking tabs and position the DCSM out of the bracket.

    Remove the DCSM.

      Release the locking wedges.

    1. 2.

      Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the DCSM following the on-screen instructions.
