Halogen Headlights

Technical Features

The 2015 Golf features lamp monitoring for all incandescent headlights and tail lights. It uses the instrument cluster and the "vehicle menu" in the infotainment display to indicate any defective lamps to the driver.

Halogen headlight angle is fixed, and can only be adjusted using the adjustment screw on the headlight assembly.

All Xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps use dynamic headlight range control. Dynamic headlight range control uses an inclination sensor (Vehicle Inclination Sensor -G384-) on the rear axle.

If the vehicle features running gear with Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC), the Electronic Damping Control Module -J250- sends sensor information across the CAN-Bus for headlight range control.
