Liftgate Alignment

Inspection 

1. 1.
   
   Check liftgate to body dimensions. Refer to Body Repairs .

All alignments 

1. 2.
   
   Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.
   • To install, tighten bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Liftgate in and out 

1. 3.
   
   Remove the upper D-pillar trim panel.

   On both sides, loosen the nut and bolt 2 turns to permit movement of the liftgate.
   • To install, tighten nut to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
   • To install, tighten bolt to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

   On both sides, loosen the nab bolt 2 turns to permit movement of the liftgate.
   • To install, tighten nab bolt to 9 Nm (80 in-lb).

   Adjust the liftgate to specification. Refer to Body Repairs .

Liftgate left and right, up and down alignment 

1. 7.
   
   Loosen the bolts 2 turns to permit movement of the liftgate.
   • Tighten the bolts to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

   Install the removed components.
