Door Alignment - Front

Inspection

1.

Check front door to body dimensions. Refer to Body Repairs

All alignments

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

2.

Remove the bolts and the striker assembly.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Front door in and out, up and down alignment

3.

Loosen the bolts 2 turns to permit movement of the door.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

Adjust the door to specification. Refer to Body Repairs .

Front door fore, aft and tilt alignment

5.

Loosen the upper bolts 2 turns to permit movement of the door.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

Loosen the lower bolts 2 turns to permit movement of the door.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

Adjust the door to specification. Refer to Body Repairs .

All alignments

8.

Loosen the bolts enough to permit movement of the striker assembly.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

9.

Check body to front door dimensions. Refer to Body Repairs

10.

Install the removed components.
