TBC Module Network Input Messages

| ABS event in progress | ABS Module | When the TBC module receives this message, it adjusts the PWM signal sent to the trailer brakes to aid in the ABS event. |
| ABS warning indicator | ABS Module | Alerts the TBC module of possible system failures in the ABS. |
| Brake pedal applied | PCM | Used to inform the TBC module the driver has pressed the brake pedal. The TBC module uses this message to activate the trailer brakes. |
| Brake switch on/off | PCM | Used to inform the TBC module the driver has pressed the brake pedal. The TBC module uses this message to activate the trailer brakes. |
| Ignition status | BCM | Used to inform the TBC module of the current ignition status; off, accessory, run, start, invalid or unknown. |
| Interior lamp dimming level | BCM | The TBC module dims or brightens the display based on current dimming levels. |
| Longitudinal Acceleration | ABS Module | This message informs the TBC module of the severity of the current vehicle stop. The TBC module adjusts the PWM signal sent to the trailer brakes in proportion to the current amount of vehicle deceleration. |
| Parklamp status | BCM | Used to inform the TBC module of the current parklamp status; off, on, invalid or unknown. |
| Stability control event in progress | ABS Module | When the TBC module receives this message, it adjusts the PWM signal sent to the trailer brakes to aid in the stability control event. |
| Trailer brake configuration | IPC | This message informs the TBC module if the IPC is currently configured for trailer brakes. |
| Trailer braking PWM required | ABS Module | This message informs the TBC module of the current PWM signal |
| Vehicle configuration information | BCM | This message informs the TBC module of the current vehicle configuration. |
| Vehicle speed | PCM | This message informs the TBC module of the current vehicle speed. The TBC module adjusts the PWM signal sent to the trailer brakes in proportion to the current amount of vehicle deceleration. |
| Vehicle braking speed | ABS Module | This message informs the TBC module of the severity of the current vehicle stop. The TBC module adjusts the PWM signal sent to the trailer brakes in proportion to the amount of braking currently being applied to the brake system. |
