Engine And Transmission, Separating, Vehicles With Engine Code CGQB And Automatic Transmission

- Spindle 3367/3 from Press Tool For Viscous Fan 3367
- Engine Support T10014
- Crankshaft Turning Tool T40257
- Wrench - 21mm T40263
- Adapter T40314
- 12M Bolt
Preparing the Articulated Joint Support VAS6131/13-7:
- Spindle 3367/3 from Press Tool For Viscous Fan 3367
- 12M Bolt
- Engine Support T10014
- Scissor Lift Table - Q7 Set - Articulated Joint Support VAS6131/13-7
Procedure
- Engine/transmission assembly removed and placed on the Scissor Lift Table VAS6131B.
-- Remove the connector -1- from the bracket and disconnect it.
Ignore -item 2-.
-- Remove the connector -2- from the mount, disconnect, and free up.
Ignore -items 1 and 3-.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Remove the bolt -3- and remove the bracket with the Differential Pressure Sensor -G505- from the transmission.
Ignore -item 1- and -arrow-.
There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with electrostatic discharge.
- Always "discharge" the static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded object, for example vehicle ground, the vehicle or the hoist.
- Do not touch contacts in transmission connector with hands.
-- Turn the twist lock counter-clockwise -arrow- and disconnect the connector from the transmission.
-- Remove the bolts -1-.
Ignore -item 2-.
-- Remove the bolts -2-.
Ignore -item 1-.
-- Remove nut -arrow-, remove Catalytic Converter with Front Exhaust Pipe.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -1- and loosen bolt -3- on the brace -2- for the turbocharger.
-- Remove the left and right driveshafts from the transmission flange shaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . .
Place a clean cloth under the separating point to catch the escaping coolant.
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.
-- Remove bolts -arrow- and pivot ATF cooler to the side.
Ignore -item 2-.
Catch any leaking ATF with a cloth.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the ATF pipe -1- from the transmission.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set VAS6122.
-- Remove the lower cover -1- from the transmission -arrow-.
-- Join the tools as illustrated.
- Socket 21 mm for 1 /2 "-drive
-- Counterhold the crankshaft to loosen the dual mass flywheel bolts.
When mounting, turn the crankshaft only in the direction of engine rotation -arrow-.
-- Remove the 6 Dual Mass Flywheel bolts -arrow- while turning the crankshaft 60° further in the direction of engine rotation.
-- Remove bolts -arrow-, remove torque support -2- with stop -1-.
-- Equip the Scissor Lift Table VAS6131B with the Scissor Lift Table - Audi Set VAS6131/10, Articulated Joint Support VAS6131/13-7, and Scissor Lift Table - Gearbox Support VAS6131/14 as follows:
The other attachments remain unchanged.

-- Secure the Articulated Joint Support VAS6131/13-7 to the engine on the front to the right with the M12 nut -arrow-, as shown in the illustration.
-- Install the joint support on the Scissor Lift Table VAS6131B and tighten it to 20 Nm.
Danger of leaks in the ATF oil pan.
- The Scissor Lift Table - Gearbox Support VAS6131/14 must not be set on the ATF oil pan.
-- Attach the mounting elements from the Scissor Lift Table - Audi Set VAS6131/10 and Scissor Lift Table - Gearbox Support VAS6131/14 on the front of the transmission, as shown in illustration.
-- Turn the left and right spindles upward until the Scissor Lift Table - Gearbox Support VAS6131/14 rests firmly against the transmission.
-- Attach mounting element base plates to Scissor Lift Table VAS6131B and tighten to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the starter bolts -1- and -2-.
-- Press the starter off the transmission and leave it in the installation position.
-- Remove the remaining bolts -3 through 11- that attach the engine to the transmission.
Ignore -item A-.
-- Loosen the clamping screws -1- on sides of Scissor Lift Table VAS6131B and pull the rear table top with the transmission toward rear -arrow-.
