Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture VAS6136. Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Disconnect the connectors -2 through 5- on the control module -1-.

-- Unclip the tabs -arrows- using the Trim Removal Wedge 3409.

-- Carefully tilt the control module -1- in the -direction of arrow B- out of the retainers -2-.

-- Slide the control module in the -direction of arrow A-.

-- Disengage the tabs -arrow- from the control module bracket.

-- Remove the control module from the bracket.
