Upper Intake Manifold: Removing
During installation, all cable ties must be re-installed at the same location.
-- Remove front and rear engine covers.
-- Free up hose connection -1- to the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister.
-- Remove vacuum hose -2- from the air guide hose connection.
-- Remove air guide hose by loosening the hose clamp -3- and opening the clips -arrows-.
Ignore -4-.
-- Disconnect vacuum hose -2-.
Disregard -arrow-.
1 - Evapoative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve 1 -N80-
2 - Secondary air injection (AIR) solenoid valve -N112- (installed only on vehicles with emissions standard ULEV 2)
3 - Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor -G42- /Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor -G71-
4 - Auxiliary heater exhaust gas sensor -N422- (installed only on vehicles without an auxiliary heater)
5 - Secondary air injection (AIR) solenoid valve 2 -N320- (installed only on vehicles with emissions standard ULEV 2)
6 - Throttle valve control module -J338-
-- Remove EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1 -N80- from the bracket and lay it aside with the hose connected.
-- Disconnect front connectors on the intake manifold.
- Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) valve -N156-
- IMT valve position sensor -G513-
-- Remove vacuum hose -arrow-.
-- Disconnect vacuum hose -arrow- at leak detection pump.
-- Free up vacuum hose -arrow-.
-- Free up wiring harness.
-- Remove bolt -3-.
-- Press retaining tab -2- up slightly and disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the intake manifold.
-- Remove bolts -arrows- and upper section of the intake manifold.
Plug the intake ports of the cylinder head with clean rags.
