Engine, Securing On Engine And Transmission Holder

Procedure
- Engine/transmission subassembly removed; engine and transmission separated, refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .
- Engine secured with Joint SupportVAS6131/13-7.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
Place a cloth underneath to catch the draining hydraulic fluid.
-- Disconnect the power steering hydraulic pipe -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.
-- Free up the wire on the left coolant pipe in the center.
-- Loosen the clamps -arrows-, remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the left coolant pipe in the center from the coolant hoses.
-- Engage the Lifting Tackle3033 on the engine lifting eyes and on the shop crane as shown in the illustration.
-- Tension engine slightly with shop crane, do not raise.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from the left engine mount.
-- Remove the right engine mount bolt -1-.
Ignore item -2-.
-- Remove the Joint SupportVAS6131/13-7 from the engine.
-- Raise engine from engine carrier.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the left engine support.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right engine support -1-.
-- Secure the starter on the engine.
-- Attach the engine using the Engine/Transmission Holder - V8 Engine Bracket VAS6095/1-6A to the Engine And Transmission HolderVAS6095 to 55 Nm, as shown in the illustration.
