Overview - Power Steering Gear

- Right Tie Rod End
- Marked with an "R". Refer to Installing - Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side
- Check dust caps for damage and correct seating
- Tapered plug must be free of oil and grease
- If necessary, clean with a dry rag, do not use cleaning solvent
- Removing and installing. Refer to TIE ROD END, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Hex Nut
- 70 Nm
- Spring Clamp
- Boot
- Check for damage
- Must not be twisted when toe is being adjusted
- Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tie Rod
- 100 Nm
- Removing and installing. Refer to TIE ROD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seal
- Replace when removing the boot. Refer to BOOT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- For the allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Power Steering Gear
- Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Left Tie Rod End
- Marked with an "L". Refer to Installing - Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side .
- Check dust caps for damage and correct seating
- Tapered plug must be free of oil and grease
- If necessary, clean with a dry rag, do not use cleaning solvent
- Removing and installing. Refer to TIE ROD END, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
