Engine Control Module -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, WITH PROTECTIVE HOUSING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

The bars on the engine control module -1- must engage into the upper and lower openings on the bracket -B-.

-- Insert the Engine Control Module -J623- -1- into the bracket -2- with the lower edge first -A- and lock at the upper edge.

NOTE:

The Engine Control Module -J623- must always be equipped with the protective housing.

Always use new shear bolts.

-- Clean any traces of locking fluid from the shear bolt threaded holes. Cleaning can be performed using a thread tap.

-- Connect the battery. Refer to Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting .

After installing a new engine control module, the following step must be performed.

-- Switch on the ignition and select the following menu items on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester:
