Preparing the :VAS6131/14 :
-- Shape the foam insert to the dimension specifications.
- Dimension -a- = 20 mm.
- Dimension -b- = 55 mm.
- Dimension -c- = 55 mm.
-- Order new foam inserts as a replacement for other use cases.
Preparing the :VAS6131/13-7 :
- :3367/3 from :3367
- M10 Nut
- :T10014
- :VAS6131/13-7
Procedure
- Engine/transmission assembly removed and placed on the :VAS6131B .
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Version 1:
-- Remove the connectors -1 and 3- from the bracket, disconnect, and free up the wires.
-- Disconnect the connector -2- and unclip the Differential Pressure Sensor -G505- from the bracket and free it up.
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Version 2:
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 4- and remove them from the bracket.
Ignore -2 and 3-.
Vehicles with Engine Codes CTBA, CTBB, CTBD:
-- Loosen the clamp -1-, remove the Reducing Agent Injector -N474- and push aside.
Ignore -item 2-.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Remove the bolt -3-.
Ignore -1 and 2-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the particulate filter with the front exhaust pipe.
The vehicle is illustrated without an SCR system.
-- Remove the left and right drive axle from the transmission flange shaft. Refer to Drive Axle, Removing and Installing .
-- Loosen the hose clamp -arrow- and remove the coolant hose.
Lay a cloth underneath to catch any leaking ATF.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the ATF line -1- from the transmission.
-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the :VAS6122 .
Vehicles through MY 2013:
Risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.
- Do not touch connector terminals in the transmission connector with hands.
-- To discharge static electricity, touch the transmission housing (without wearing gloves).
-- Turn the twist lock counter-clockwise -arrow- and disconnect the connector from the transmission.
-- Free up the wiring harness on the transmission.
-- Disconnect the connector -2- from the Engine Speed Sensor -G28- and free up the wires on the transmission.
