Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

-- Insert the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- with the pin -1- into the groove -arrow- on the steering column -2- and push the control module firmly by hand onto the steering column.

-- Once the control module -1- is touching the entire surface of the steering column, install the bolt -item 6-  OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN and tighten it.

NOTE:

If the same Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- is being reinstalled, the control module does not need to be adapted again.

If the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, it must be adapted again.

-- Vehicle Diagnostic Tester connect and perform vehicle-specific entry into "Guided Fault Finding".

-- Select the corresponding program in "Guided Functions".

-- Follow the prompts on the screen.
