Front Display And Control Head, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

If a new Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- with a Climatronic Control Module -J255- is installed, the Replace control module function and a basic setting must be performed in the Guided Fault Finding or the Guided Functions.

Prior to working on electrical wires, disconnect the corresponding fuse/fuses. Refer to Wiring Diagram.

-- Open the ashtray cover.

-- Unclip and remove the trim -2- at the indicated locations -arrows- from the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -1- using the :3409 .

-- Carefully insert the :3438 in the area -arrow B- underneath and then behind the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -1-. Press frame -2- slightly downward in this process.

-- Insert both :T10315 horizontally into the slits -arrows- first on one side (be sure to protect the center console) and push them gently toward the outside to release the tabs.

-- Use both tools to remove the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -1- toward the front.

-- Use the :3409 to press the retaining tabs inward as needed.

-- Disconnect the connectors and remove the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- with the Climatronic Control Module -J255-.
