Overview - Level Control System Components

Level Control System Control Module -J197-
- Component location: in the luggage compartment behind the right side panel trim
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE -J197-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Left Rear Air Spring Shock Absorber
- With Left Rear Damping Adjustment Valve -N338-
- The Left Rear Damping Adjustment Valve -N338- can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76-
- Component location: on the rear subframe
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT REAR LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR -G76- / -G77-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the Left Rear Level Control System Sensor -G76- was removed and then installed, a basic setting of the level control system must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Level Control System Control Head -E281-
- Component location: inside the center console
- Switch on the vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .
Pressure Reservoir
- Component location: on left side of the underbody at the front.
- Removing and installing. Refer to PRESSURE RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Filling. Refer to PRESSURE RESERVOIR, FILLING .
Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G341-
- Component location: on the left upper wheel housing
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT FRONT BODY ACCELERATION SENSOR -G341- / -G342-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Left Front Air Spring Shock Absorber
- With Left Front Damping Adjustment Valve -N336-
- The Left Front Damping Adjustment Valve -N336- can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Left Front Level Control System Sensor -G78-
- Component location: in the left front wheel housing and on the upper control arm
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to FRONT LEFT/RIGHT LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR -G78- / -G289-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the Left Front Level Control System Sensor -G78- was removed and then installed, a basic setting of the level control system must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Right Front Level Control Sensor -G289-
- Component location: in the right front wheel housing and on the upper control arm
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to FRONT LEFT/RIGHT LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR -G78- / -G289-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the Right Front Level Control Sensor -G289- was removed and then installed, a basic setting of the level control system must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Right Front Air Spring Shock Absorber
- With Right Front Damping Adjustment Valve -N337-
- The Right Front Damping Adjustment Valve -N337- can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G342-
- Component location: on the right upper wheel housing
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT FRONT BODY ACCELERATION SENSOR -G341- / -G342-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Compressor with Adaptive Suspension Valve Block -NX7-
- Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" with Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removal and installation without an Adaptive Suspension Valve Block -NX7-. Refer to COMPRESSOR WITHOUT ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION VALVE BLOCK -NX7-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Removal and installation with an Adaptive Suspension Valve Block -NX7-. Refer to COMPRESSOR WITH ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION VALVE BLOCK -NX7-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Removing and installing the Adaptive Suspension Valve Block -NX7-. Refer to Adaptive Suspension Valve Block -NX7-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Not designed to be serviced
- Component location: at the front of the underbody on the right side
- With Level Control System Compressor Motor -V66-
- With the Level Control Pressure Sensor -G291-
Right Rear Level Control System Sensor -G77-
- Component location: on the rear subframe
- Can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT REAR LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR -G76- / -G77-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the Right Rear Level Control System Sensor -G77- was removed and then installed, a basic setting of the level control system must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Right Rear Air Spring Shock Absorber
- With Right Rear Damping Adjustment Valve -N339-
- The Right Rear Damping Adjustment Valve -N339- can be tested in "Guided Fault Finding" with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR SPRING SHOCK ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
