NOTE:

In the event of damage to the lock carrier or the bumper carrier, check the Distance Regulation Control Module -J428- and Distance Regulation Control Module 2 -J850- for damage.

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the release cable from the lock carrier. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, DISCONNECTING .

-- In vehicles with a charge air cooler, release the pressure hoses. Refer to COUPLING, UNLOCKING .

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 4-.

-- Remove the bolts -3- at the left and right longitudinal members.

-- Screw in the Guide Pins:T10093 on the left and right longitudinal members.

-- The lock carrier -1- can be pulled forward approximately 10 cm on the Lock Carrier Support Tool:3411 -arrows a-.
