Basic Diagnostic Procedure: Procedure

CAUTION:
Remove foreign matter (dust, water, oil etc.) from the TPMS & keyless entry control module connector when removing and installing.
NOTE:
To check harness for open or short circuits, shake the suspected trouble spot or connector.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

1 CHECK PRE-INSPECTION.

Is the component that might affect the tire pressure monitor system normal? | Go to step 2 . | Repair or replace each component. |
2 CHECK DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC).

Is DTC displayed? | Go to step 4 . | Go to step 3 . |
3 PERFORM GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS.

Does the tire pressure warning light illuminates for about 2 seconds and then foes off after turning on the ignition switch, and then go out? | Finish the diagnosis. | Check the tire inflation pressure warning light blinking patterns. < Ref. to INSPECTION , Tire Pressure Warning Light/Trouble Indicator Light Illumination Pattern. > |
| 4 CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the freeze frame data. |

5 PERFORM DIAGNOSIS.
