Removal And Installation

    NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) process for the Global Positioning System Module (GPSM) following the on-screen instructions.

    Remove the FCIM. Refer to, Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) .

    Remove the defroster grille panel.

  1. 4.

    Remove the 4 screws and the instrument panel speaker cover.

      Disconnect the electrical connector.

    1. 2.

      To install, tighten to 2.5 Nm (23 lb-in).

  1. 5.

    Unclip and remove the GPSM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

  1. 6.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • NOTE: This step is only required if the GPSM is being replaced.

      Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the GPSM following the on-screen instructions.
