Pinpoint Test K : U0114, U0414: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Lincoln Navigator and 2017 Ford Expedition. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
The four-wheel drive clutch control module is also known as the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM).
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the TCCM sends messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the specified time frame, the ABS module sets DTCs. This can be due to a TCCM failure, a circuit failure on the HS-CAN or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the TCCM, Anti-Lock Control .
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| U0114 | Lost Communication With Four-Wheel Drive Clutch Control Module | This DTC sets in continuous memory if data messages received from the four-wheel drive clutch control module over the HS-CAN are missing for more than 5 seconds. |
| U0414 | Invalid Data Received from Four-Wheel Drive Clutch Control Module | This DTC sets in continuous memory if any one of the following messages is "invalid" instead of the actual information; AWD lock status, AWD range fault, AWD range selection and AWD torque actual. |
