DTC Check / Clear [08/2013 - ]

HINT: 

If the Techstream is connected to the vehicle with the power switch off, the information stored in smart access system with push-button start related ECUs cannot be read. However, smart access system with push-button start DTCs and Data List information can be confirmed even if the power switch is off using the following method:

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [POWER SOURCE CONTROL]) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Power Source Control / DTC.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      HINT: 

      Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) [SMART ACCESS]) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / DTC.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

  3. CLEAR DTC (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU [POWER SOURCE CONTROL]) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Power Source Control / DTC / Clear.
    5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream display.

      Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.

  4. CLEAR DTC (CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) [SMART ACCESS]) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / DTC / Clear.
    5. Clear the DTCs by following the directions on the Techstream display.
